" School is about learning with an imagination, not memorization."
A few simple words can describe who I am. I am a learner, enthusiast, and an advocate. Learning has defined my life since I entered kindergarten. With the completion of writing papers, taking tests, and completing my personal educational goals, my passion for learning has not ended. When you stop learning, you stop living.
My passion for learning should be the key indicator for my career in education. I have a high degree of respect in educators because of their ability (and want) to change lives. I am an advocate for students. The time spent learning should be fun and inspiring. Our students deserve an education congruent with the world they encounter daily. As an enthusiast, I have strong opinions and high expectations. I expect goals to be accomplished. People should respect others in order to help our neighbors succeed in their goals and happiness. The failure of one person should not be the result of another person's actions. I want all to be happy and successful in the way God created us. Always strive to help a person better their life, and always leave a place better than you found it. |
My heritageI am a mom, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a teacher, and a christian. Motherhood is my favorite role. Roy Pierson Collier is my first born son to my best friend and husband Cory Collier and I. Roy was promoted to big brother in October 2018 when Stella Jane joined our family! As well, I am the proud daughter to Doug & Elizabeth Atkinson, only (and favorite) sister to Tom Atkinson and wife Jolene, coolest aunt to Josephine, Clayton, Charlie, and Alicia, and last but not least the caregiver to two special pups, Belle & Dixie. I love and support my family with all my heart, and truly believe I would not be the woman I am without their support.
